What We Do

founded in 2018 by randy harris, milanville wood and co.’s roots grew from randy’s life as a new york city photographer. for many years, randy shot the openers and main features for the new york times home and garden section which provided him with a rich exposure to a variety of design aesthetics. drawn to this beauty, randy began to expand his artistry, making tables, benches, and wooden planters, commissioned by his clients in new york city.

drawn closer to the source of his woodworking supplies, randy moved upstate to pond eddy where he founded his first studio workshop approximately ten years ago. shooting food photography inspired a new line of spatulas and wooden surfaces. a love of gardening grew with life upstate and the hypertufa planters became another beautiful part of his product line.

in 2017 Randy and his wife purchased an 1880’s east lake victorian home in milanville, pa where they now live. as they lovingly and painstakingly work to restore the home, he applies his eye for detail and high quality finish to each room. Randy’s products are made by hand outdoors in the open air, under a beautiful canopy of sugar maples. milanville wood and co. continues to take private furniture commissions for residential interiors and exteriors. plans are under way to open a studio .
